Open house Saturday at Lawn Bowls Club
The Honolulu Lawn Bowls Club is holding an open house at its green at Ala Moana Park on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permitting.
Equipment will be provided at no charge. Participants are asked to bring sneakers or slippers.

Marathon clinic sessions begin
The Honolulu Marathon Clinic, geared for those planning to run the Dec. 9 marathon, begins its weekly sessions Sunday at Kapiolani Park.
The free clinics run through Dec. 2. Clinics begin at 7:30 a.m. Volunteers lead beginner, intermediate and advanced group runs.
The group meets across from Paki Hale.

Roller derby at Papakolea
The Leeward Diamond Dolls look to make it two in a row over the South Shore Sirens when the teams meet Saturday in a Pacific Roller Derby match at the Papakolea Community Development Corporation building on Tantalus Drive.
General admission is $7, $5 for students with ID, kids 12 and under are free. The match goes off at 6 p.m.

Extreme run comes to Oahu
Warrior Dash makes its inaugural stop on Oahu on March 24.
Runners traverse a challenging 3.01-mile course with 12 obstacles on Dillingham Ranch in Waialua. The first of 18 waves of participants goes off at 8:30 a.m.
Online registration closes at 11:59 p.m. Monday. The fee is $70.

Men’s B tennis league registration
Registration for the Honolulu Tennis League’s Men’s B season is set for Thursday at Makiki District Park.
Rosters and registration fee of $21 per player can be submitted beginning at 7 p.m. at the park’s parking lot off Keeaumoku. Play starts April 1.
