With only a pair of episodes remaining, ABC’s "The River" appears stuck in low viewership numbers, according to the latest Nielsen ratings released by the network.
The sixth of the Hawaii-based drama’s eight scheduled episodes drew 4.2 million viewers Tuesday night, the network said Wednesday. The CBS series "NCIS: Los Angeles" won the hour for scripted drama by drawing 11.8 million viewers.
Among adults 18-49, the key target audience for advertisers, "The River" drew 1.5 percent of the total viewing audience and 4 percent of those watching TV at the time.
"The River," the creepy story of a search for a missing adventurer lost in the Amazon, airs at 8 p.m. Tuesdays on KITV. It was shot in Kahana and Waimea valleys.
