Donovan’s salary is 7th among WAC athletic directors
Jim Donovan’s salary at the University of Hawaii is seventh among pay for the eight athletic directors in the Western Athletic Conference based upon a USAToday survey.
Donovan’s base is listed at $240,000, according to the USA Today study, before the five percent voluntary cut he and many UH administrators agreed to in July.
Before the $12,000 cut he would have ranked sixth.
Utah State’s Scott Barnes leads the WAC at $298,375 while athletic directors at San Jose State and Nevada each topped $277,000.
Idaho’s Rob Spear had the lowest salary, $184,988.
ADs average about $450,000 per year at marquee schools, USAToday reported.
