» Northern Colorado freshman outfielder Jensen Park (‘Iolani ’11) hit .286 (4-for-14) with an RBI and a stolen base in the Bears’ opening series of the season against North Dakota State that ended on Sunday. Freshman infielder Ryan Yamane (Punahou ’11) hit .273 (3-for-11) with two RBIs for Northern Colorado, which lost all four games.

» Willamette (Ore.) freshman catcher Tiras Koon (‘Iolani ’11) went 2-for-5 with a walk and two RBIs as the Bearcats split two games against Corban University. Outfielder Roleen Himuro (Punahou ’11) went 1-for-3 with a run and two RBIs in a 17-5 win on Friday.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

» Trinity (Texas) sophomore guard Matt Feldman (Punahou ’10) played 13 minutes off the bench and contributed seven points, including a 3-pointer, to help the Tigers defeat Centre College in the championship game of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament on Sunday. The Tigers will open the NCAA Division III playoffs against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Friday in Belton, Texas.

» Willamette (Ore.) senior Taylor Mounts (‘Iolani ’08) was named honorable mention All-Northwest Conference last Tuesday. Mounts ranked third in the league in points, rebounds and blocks, averaging 17.3 points, 8.2 boards and 0.9 rejections per game. Mounts finished his career ranked 11th on the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,298 points. He averaged 15.6 points a game (fifth most in school history) and 7.0 rebounds in 83 games played, including 68 starts.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

» UNLV senior Jamie Smith (‘Iolani ’08) posted her sixth double-double this season and 34th in her career with 11 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in an 86-48 victory over Air Force on Saturday. The 38-point margin of victory is the second highest ever for UNLV in a Mountain West Conference game.

» Utah junior guard Iwalani Rodrigues (Kalani ’08) shot 6-for-14 from the field, finishing with 12 points and three rebounds in a 69-42 loss to No. 2 Stanford on Saturday. » Puget Sound freshman guard Ashley Agcaoili (Maryknoll ’11) started and played 27 minutes, finishing with eight points, four rebounds and a steal as the Loggers lost 69-55 to George Fox in the semifinals of the Northwest Conference tournament on Thursday.

» Oberlin College sophomore Logan Chun (‘Iolani ’10) won in the No. 1 singles position in three sets and was also victorious in doubles to help the Yeomen defeat Ohio Wesleyan University 7-2 on Saturday.

» Claremont-Mudd-Scripps teammates Kristin Lim (Punahou ’09) and Sarah Kukino (Kauai ’11) won both their singles and doubles matches in a 9-0 victory over Bates College on Saturday.

» Charleston Southern freshman Richard Landford (Mililani ’11) finished eighth in the shot put with a throw of 46 feet at the Big South Conference Indoor Championships in Blacksburg, Va., on Saturday. He’s the first Buccaneer to score in the shot put at the conference championships since 2008.

» Rice sophomore Farrah Madanay (Punahou ’09) finished 12th in the women’s 5,000-meter run in 17:34.13 as the Owls finished fifth at the Conference USA Indoor Championships on Sunday in Birmingham, Ala.

» Charleston Southern freshman Joshlyn Noga (Kahuku ’11) broke a personal record by more than 3 feet in the weight throw, placing 10th with a throw of 50 feet, 3 inches at the Big South Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday in Blacksburg, Va. Noga also placed fourth in the shot put, throwing it 44 feet.

» Dartmouth junior Joy Piotrowski (Punahou ’09) placed 11th in both the long jump (17 feet, 3.25 inches) and triple jump (36 feet, 4.25 inches) at the Ivy League Indoor Championships over the weekend in Ithaca, N.Y.

» Southern California freshman Micah Christenson (Kamehameha ’11) had a match-high 61 assists, four digs, three kills, two block assists and an ace in a five-set victory over Stanford on Saturday. Junior outside Maddison McKibbin (Punahou ’09) had 10 kills, nine digs and three block assists and sophomore Henry Cassiday (Punahou ’10) added 11 digs for the Trojans. Senior outside hitter Brad Lawson (‘Iolani ’08) hit .367 with 24 kills, four digs, two block assists and an ace and Erik Shoji (Punahou ’08) had five digs and two assists for the Cardinal.

» Brigham Young middle Futi Tavana (Kauai ’05) hit .231 with 11 kills, six digs, five block assists and a solo block in a five-set loss to UC Santa Barbara on Saturday. Freshman libero Jaylen Reyes (Kamehameha ’11) added eight digs and an assist for the Cougars.

» Long Beach State sophomore outside hitter Taylor Crabb (Punahou ’10) had nine kills, eight digs, four aces and a block assist in a four-set victory over UC San Diego on Saturday.

» Grand View (Iowa) freshman Lawrence Villafania (Leilehua ’08) recorded 10 digs and setter Kyle Hanagami (Waiakea ’11) had 43 assists in a five-set loss to Missouri Baptist on Friday.

WOMEN’S WATER POLO

» Harvard sophomore Shayne Price (Punahou ’10) scored the game-winning goal in sudden-death overtime to give the Crimson a 14-13 win over Iona on Sunday. Price finished with two goals, three assists and six steals and sister Aisha Price (Punahou ’09) had five goals, three steals and two assists for the Crimson, who won their fifth straight.

» Occidental (Calif.) junior Nanea Fujiyama (Kamehameha ’09) scored three times and freshman Koral Gill (Lahainaluna ’11) added one as the Tigers closed with a 16-4 victory over Vanguard University on Sunday to finish 4-0 in the Chapman Tournament.

» Villanova junior Hannah Ishida (Punahou ’09) had three goals, two assists and a steal in a 15-7 loss to George Washington in the Wildcats’ first game in the MAAC/East Challenge on Saturday.

» American University (Washington, D.C.) freshman David Terao (Mid-Pacific ’11) won two matches by pin to finish fourth at 125 pounds in the National Collegiate Open on Sunday.

» Johns Hopkins (Md.) freshman Evan Johnson (Punahou ’11) won his first match, 3-1, at 285 pounds at the Centennial Conference Championships on Saturday.
