Flash flood watch issued for Kauai
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Kauai, effective through 1 a.m. Sunday.
According to the weather service, a low-pressure trough west of the Hawaiian islands will create wet and unstable conditions over Kauai, including bands of heavy showers and thunderstorms.
Given the already saturated ground, flash flooding could occur, the weather service warned.
