The top 70 and ties in the 234-player field advance to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. All other players receive 2012 LPGA Futures Tour status. This is the first year the two tours have run joint Q-Schools.
Kono is one of 26 amateurs in the field. The three-time All-American is a senior at UCLA, which won this year’s NCAA championship.

» Hawaii’s Michelle Wie, pulling up to a McDonald’s drive-thru in a golf cart, is featured in new 15- and 30-second commercials promoting the chain’s Monopoly game. In the ad, the odds of Wie going to "your McDonald’s" are 1 in 15 million. Those odds are probably less near Hawaii Kai and Stanford, Calif., where Wie will graduate in March.
