‘Raiders’ rules at hana hou show
"It’s not the years, it’s the mileage," moaned Indiana Jones in one of his best lines. At least Indy is a movie character, not a car. All those scratches and dents and dings that "Raiders of the Lost Ark" has picked up since it was released in 1981 have since been digitally erased, the color restored and the soundtrack cleaned up.
TitanXC venue at the Consolidated Ward 16 Theaters. Admission is $14.25.

Hospice hosts benefit event
Hospice Hawaii’s annual gala will feature award-winning wines from Spain. The benefit, 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 12 at Waialae Country Club, includes wine tasting, a dinner with wine pairings by HASR Wine Co., silent auction and an awards program.
This year’s honorees are Curtis Lee, founder of Sports Club Car of America in Hawaii, and Walter Davis, attorney and author of "A Reasonable Person." Tesoro Hawaii, UHA, Bank of Hawaii employees and Dr. Jared Acoba will receive community awards.
