Church conference will explore progressive faith
The Windward Coalition of Churches is sponsoring a conference called “Off the Map: Charting New Territory for Progressive Faith,” March 9-11 in Kailua.
The event will be led by the Rev. Fred Plumer, president of ProgressiveChristianity.org.
Speakers include Deshna Ubeda, associate director of the Center for Progressive Christianity; the Rev. Kyle Lovett of Church of the Crossroads; the Rev. John Heidel, president of The Interfaith Alliance of Hawaii; and the Rev. Michael Grogan, pastor of Wahiawa Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

of the church’s Ka Ohana Kitchen, which serves hot meals to the needy every Sunday, will be
celebrated with a hoolaulea open to the public Feb. 26, beginning with worship at 8:30 a.m. and a blessing of the facilities at 10 a.m. Food, entertainment, door prizes and children’s
