Seattle Pacific downs HPU in volleyball
Nikki Lowell had 13 kills to lead Seattle Pacific to a 21-25, 25-22, 25-23, 26-24 victory over Hawaii Pacific in a women’s volleyball match Saturday at St. Andrew’s Priory gym.
Sanoe Recca led the Sea Warriors (1-4) with 12 kills and Brittney Wood added 11.
The Falcons improved to 2-1.

Rachel Thornquist added 12 kills for the Vulcans (4-0).

Crystal Powell had seven kills and Whitney Viveiros added four kills and 10 digs for the Silverswords (1-4).

Hawaii Pacific soccer team wins opener
Chance Bukoski and Kimo Komomua scored goals to lead Hawaii Pacific to a 2-0 men’s soccer season-opening victory over Montana State Billings yesterday in Honolulu.
Bukoski assisted on Komomua’s goal.
Mael Lefebvre made five saves in the shutout for the Sea Warriors.
Vercruyssen places fifth in Germany
Hawaii’s Nani Vercruyssen placed fifth in synchronized trampoline and 21st in individual trampoline at the Federation of International Gymnastics’ Trampoline World Cup on Saturday in Salzgitter, Germany.
Vercruyssen’s partner in synchronized trampoline is Savannah Vinsant of Louisiana.
