Elderly woman dies following car crash near Haleiwa
An 83-year-old Wailua woman died Tuesday of injuries she suffered in a car crash near Haleiwa.
The woman was a passenger in a car driven by an 89-year-old man who rear-ended another vehicle on Kamehameha Highway at about 3 p.m.
The driver of the other car, a 46-year-old man, was not injured.
The woman was taken in “good condition” to Pali Momi Hospital, but died a few hours later.
