Native Hawaiian artists, students to paint huge mural at Hawaii Convention Center
Native Hawaiian artists and students are to paint an 80-foot mural at the Hawaii Convention Center in Waikiki.
The Office of Hawaiian Affairs announced this week that it is funding the mural project.
Artists Meleanna Meyer, Solomon Enos, Kahi Ching, Harinani Orme and Al Lagunero are to paint the mural in October with students from public, private and charter schools.
They are to gather ideas from the Hawaiian community at the Hawaiian Convention next week.
