Man held in alleged copper theft attempt at Waianae Elementary
Police arrested a 29-year-old Waianae man for allegedly trying to steal copper from Waianae Elementary School.
A witness reported seeing the suspect cutting off copper rain gutters at the school just before 5 p.m. Friday.
Responding officers arrested the man after a brief foot chase.
