Billy Casper Golf has added Bay View Golf Course to the 130 golf courses, country clubs and resorts it owns and operates, including Kaanapali on Maui and Puakea on Kauai. The group will oversee all aspects of Bay View’s golf operation, including course and property maintenance.
Programs to encourage family-friendly golf are planned, as well as implementing the national Get Golf Ready and Golf Fore Women programs. The course was recently purchased by Windward Church of the Nazarene.
"Billy Casper Golf’s professional approach will make an immediate impact on course conditions and golfer satisfaction," said Jerry Appleby, lead pastor at the church. "The future is bright for Bay View to once again become a popular gathering place."
Initial projects will involve renovating the irrigation system and installing new grass for the greens.
The 18-hole, 3,269-yard executive course was designed by Robin Nelson. It has a 40-stall double-deck driving range and 36-hole mini golf course.
