Courtesy Hawaii Department of Agriculture A 2-foot-long snake was killed Wednesday morning by a road crew from Island Landscaping, which was cutting grass along Nimitz Highway near Valkenburgh Street. The illegal reptile was recovered by state Agriculture Department plant quarantine officials after it was reported at 8:45 a.m. The snake's species and gender are still unknown.
