Lt. Gov. Brian Schatz will be the keynote speaker at Thursday’s Hawaii Venture Capital Association luncheon where the organization will announce its “2011 Deal of the Year” winner.

 Schatz is scheduled to speak about the Hawaii’s potential as a leading Pacific Rim economy, according to the HVCA.

Registration for the event starts at 11:30 a.m. and the program gets underway at noon. Admission is $29 for members, $39 for non-members and $20 for students. The event is co-sponsored by ThinkTechHawaii, The Pacific New Media Center, KMH, LLP and Hawaii Business Magazine.
