Accessurf beach day Saturday
Accessurf’s monthly adaptive surfing, shoreline flotation and swimming for persons with a disability is Saturday at Kalaeloa, Barbers Point Beach Park.
The event runs from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The program is free and open to all ages and abilities.

Final roughwater swim clinic
The final clinic for next month’s Waikiki Roughwater Swim is Aug. 14 at Duke Kahanamoku Beach next to the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
The free clinic is designed to help swimmers prepare for the Sept. 5 race, including drafting, breathing and pre-race diet. It runs from 8 to 9 a.m.
The Labor Day race is 2.384 miles and runs from San Souci to the Hilton.

43rd water polo invitational set
The 43rd Hawaiian Invitational Water Polo Tournament, featuring more than 100 teams in 10 divisions, begins Monday at four sites.
Teams from Hawaii, the mainland, Australia, New Zealand and Canada will compete at the University of Hawaii’s Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex and pools at Punahou, ‘Iolani and Kamehameha. Divisions range from 14-and-under to masters 40-and-over.

Boxers fall short at Junior Olympics
All three Team Hawaii boxers were eliminated in Wednesday’s second round of the USA Boxing Junior Olympics in Mobile, Ala.
Justly Laquihon of Honolulu lost his 119-pound bout against Indiana’s Isidro Flores Jr. 9-8. At 125, Honolulu’s Mason Cornelio fell to Baltimore’s Gervonta Davis 12-4. Hilo’s Kieran Rosas was eliminated by Jose Alday of Texas 20-10 at 138 pounds.
