Three arrested for allegedly damaging canoes near Lagoon Drive
Police have arrested two men and a teenage boy in connection with damaging four canoes stored near Lagoon Drive Tuesday afternoon.
Police said witnesses saw three males kick the canoes, drag them on the ground and try to push them into the water about 3 p.m.
Officers arrested the three males, ages 25, 18 and 17, for investigation of second-degree criminal property damage. The two adults, of Kalihi and Nuuanu respectively, were also arrested on contempt-of-court counts.
Police estimated damage to the canoes at $1,500.
The complainants were listed as three women, ages 38, 33 and 29.
