Bess to throw Pro Bowl kickoff party
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Davone Bess, a former Hawaii star, will host a Pro Bowl kickoff party from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Tiki’s Grill and Bar, 2570 Kalakaua Ave.
Featured guests include former Warriors Colt Brennan, Chad Owens, Ryan Grice-Mullen and Vince Munawai, as well as NFL players Mike Pouncey and Clyde Gates of the Dolphins and Bernard Scott of the Cincinnati Bengals.
Admission to the event, a benefit for The Bess Route Foundation, is $30, which includes a buffet, two drinks, access to a silent auction and player autographs.

Moon hosts benefit golf tournament
Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon will host the inaugural St. Jude Warren Moon Hall of Fame Invitational golf tournament Jan. 27 at the Ernie Els-designed Hoakalei Country Club in Ewa Beach.
Moon, Eric Dickerson, Larry Fitzgerald and Tony Gonzalez are among former and current players committed to the event, which features a pairings party lunch, a round of golf and an awards dinner. Tickets are $1,000 for individuals and $4,000 for foursomes.
