Honolulu’s Michelle Wie shot an even-par 72 in today’s third round of the Women’s British Open and enters Sunday’s final round tied for 28th at 214. The Punahou School graduate trails 54-hole leader Caroline Masson (68—201) by 13 shots.

World No. 1 Yani Tseng moved into contention with a 66 and is only two back at 203. She is the defending champion and has already won four majors, including three of the last seven.

Wie has not competed well with the world’s top players this year, falling to No. 14 in the Rolex rankings this week. She carded five birdies and six bogeys as she continues to struggle off the tee, hitting only nine of 15 fairways.

Putting has also been a problem for Wie this season. She needed 33 in today’s round, not a good number after hitting 14 of 18 greens in regulation. Through 54 holes, Wie has 14 birdies, 10 bogeys and one double on the famed Carnoustie Golf Links in Scotland.
