Online payment fees anger utility customers

Clint Abe, a consumer goods sales representative, said he recently complained unsuccessfully to a Hawaiian Telcom customer service representative about a $1.95 monthly "convenience fee" the company charges for making one-time online payments for land-line and Internet services.
