Wet ’n’ Wild clownin’ around

Jugglers, clowns and stilt walkers will be part of the scene at Wet ’n’ Wild Hawaii’s third annual Keiki Carnival today.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the family can take part in the summer carnival fun, which will offer plenty for keiki to see and do — games, prizes, a climbing wall and kids vehicles from Cycle City.

The Colby Benson Band will provide entertainment.

Show your Oceanic Keiki Club (OKC) or My TV card from Oceanic Time Warner Cable when purchasing tickets at the gate and admission is $19.99 per person. Call 674-9283 for more information.

Homeless need school supplies

The Aloha United Way’s Society of Young Leaders and Hard Rock Cafe Honolulu are teaming up to collect school supplies for homeless students on Oahu.

The drive runs from now until Aug. 31.

School supplies requested include: pencil boxes/pouches, new or gently used backpacks, highlighters, notebooks, markers, crayons, loose leaf paper, erasers, pens, folders, scissors, binders and colored pencils.

Last year, the Society distributed more than $10,000 worth of school supplies to about 400 homeless students on Oahu.

School supply donations can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to midnight daily, at Hard Rock Cafe Honolulu, on the corner of Beachwalk and Kalakaua avenues in Waikiki.

Call Hard Rock Cafe at 955-7383 or email info@auw.org for more information.
