Kauai police arrest 4 men in Koloa convenience store robbery
Kauai police have arrested the last of four people wanted in connection with Wednesday’s robbery of the Koloa Chevron convenience store and the assault of a male employee.
Police said four men wearing face paint entered the convenience store of the gas station at about 2:20 a.m. Wednesday and demanded cash from the store’s lone employee. The robbers held the employee at knifepoint and hit him, causing bruises to his face and body, police said. Paramedics treated the employee later at the store.
The robbers took an undisclosed amount of cash, liquor and cigarettes and left on foot, police said.
Police arrested two suspects Wednesday morning, a 21-year-old Koloa man and an 18-year-old Kapaa man. Late Wednesday night officers arrested an 18-year-old Koloa man.
The final suspect, a 20-year-old Kalaheo man, was arrested at about 7:40 a.m. today in Kalaheo.
All were arrested for investigation of first-degree robbery and were being held at the police cellblock.
