Sex assault suspect busted in Waikiki
A 23-year-old man was being held in lieu of $75,000 bail Sunday after being charged Saturday with first-degree sex assault.
Corey Gosey will likely appear in Honolulu District Court on Tuesday.
Police arrested him at 2:11 a.m. Saturday in Waikiki after a 20-year-old woman reported being raped by two men at 4:30 a.m. June 21 in her Waikiki residence.
Police did not release information on the second suspect.
Threat with knife greets intervention
Police say they arrested a man who allegedly threatened another man who intervened in a fight between the suspect and his girlfriend in Waikiki.
Police said the 39-year-old victim tried to break up the fight when a 32-year-old man with no local address allegedly pulled out a pocketknife and threatened the older man.
The suspect tried to run away, but officers arrested him at Ohua and Kalakaua avenues at 6:55 p.m. Saturday on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening.
