Mokulele Airlines is set to resume a full schedule of flights today, three days after grounding its fleet of four Cessna Grand Caravans for a thorough maintenance and repair audit and inspection.
Transpac Aviation, based in Scottsdale, Ariz., purchased the nine-seat turboprops last month from Mesa Air Group Inc.
Ron Hansen, chairman and CEO of Mokulele Flight Services Inc., said the airlines flew about half of its scheduled flights on Sunday.
"We apologize to the public and our customers for the disruption but it was necessary to do this," Hansen said.
Mokulele worked with go! Mokulele, a separate entity, to reschedule passengers on other flights. Some passengers were given refunds and a voucher for future flights.
