Here are the synopses of this week’s shows:
"My Love by My Side"
Episodes 43 and 44
Today, 6:45 p.m.: Jin-gook finds out that Seok-bin was behind Mi-sol’s kidnapping. But Seok-bin tells him that he had no other choice because he’s Yong-woong’s father. Mrs. Kang insists that Yoon-jung visit that night. She tries to come up with a lie to tell Mrs. Kang, but they see Yoon-jung on TV. Mrs. Kang goes to get Yoon-jung.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: When Mrs. Kang brings Yoon-jung home, Yoon-jung finds a photo of Seok-bin and Yong-woong in Seok-bin’s office. She tells Mrs. Kang that Seok-bin is Yong-woong’s father. Mrs. Kang tells Seok-bin that he must take good care of his wife. Mi-sol decides to tell Un-hee who Yong-woong’s father is.
"Thousand Days’ Promise"
Episodes 1 and 2
Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Seo-yeon is an editor at a publishing company. She’s going out with Ji-hyung, her cousin’s high school friend, but their relationship is a secret. Ji-hyung, a successful architect from a well-to-do family, is engaged to be married to Hyang-gi, his father’s boss’s daughter.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Ji-hyung tells his friend Jae-min, Seo-yeon’s cousin, about his relationship with Seo-yeon and the breakup. Jae-min tries to console Seo-yeon. Tormented by his breakup with Seo-yeon and his inability to call off the wedding, Ji-hyung confesses to his mother that he has someone else.
"Live in Style"
Episodes 11 and 12
Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Ah-ra sees Shin-hyung laughing it up with a matchmaker. Ah-ra finds out Eun-geol is her mother’s doctor. Eun-geol asks her out to dinner. Yong-pal stays by Sung-ae’s bedside, but her condition worsens and she’s taken to the ICU.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Dae-ra finds out Eun-jung took money from the cram school. When he asks for the money, she tells him she spent it on his mother’s hospital bills. Eun-geol shows his interest in Ah-ra, but she says she already has a boyfriend.
"Tree with Deep Roots"
Episodes 9 and 10
Friday, 7:45 p.m.: The king gives the information on Secret Roots to Chae-yoon and puts him in charge of the investigation. The king introduces Hangeul to his Jiphyunjeon scholars. Chae-yoon moves into Banchon to catch the members of Secret Roots.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: The identity of Ga-ri-on is revealed, and he’s arrested. Chae-yoon asks So-yi what transpired between her and Ga-ri-on, but she only begs him to save Ga-ri-on. The king asks his scholars for their opinions on his new alphabet, but their answer is critical.
