BYUH men beat Hilo in PacWest basketball
Okesene Ale and Bracken Funk each scored 14 points as Brigham Young-Hawaii beat host Hawaii-Hilo 76-72 Thursday night in the Pacific West Conference men’s basketball opener for both teams.
Ale sealed the victory for BYU-Hawaii (2-4) with a pair of free throws with 7 seconds remaining.
The Seasiders’ Jet Chang and Brady Hurst added 13 points each, and Gary Satterwhite had 12.
Zachary Wilde had 20 points and 16 rebounds for Hawaii-Hilo (4-2).
