Restore your spirit by eating right
If the fast pace of the holidays, or life in general, has you exhausted, check out "Eating for Energy," a free workshop that teaches nutritional and lifestyle solutions.
Stephanie Jurgenson, a certified holistic health counselor, will explain how to find vitality and conserve energy without relying on sugar, caffeine, snacking or naps.
The workshop will take place twice, at 1 and 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Center for Holistic Living, 4747 Kilauea Ave., Suite 115. Call 783-0163.

Whole Foods picks up cage-free isle eggs
It’s become easier to purchase local, cage-free eggs since Whole Foods Markets Kahala began carrying Maili Moa Farm eggs last week.
The eggs, priced at $6.99 a dozen, will eventually be available at Whole Foods Kahului and will replace all mainland eggs in the stores’ prepared-foods department.
Maili Moa Farm in Maili is owned and operated by Mark Takaki and Minda Cortado.
Sweet treats for charity
A tin of cookies baked by Kahala Hotel and Resort chefs makes for a classy gift and also perpetuates the spirit of giving. Kapiolani Center for Women and Children receives half of the sales proceeds.
The Christmas Cookie Exchange takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 18 in the Veranda Lounge. A tin is $50.
