Police are looking for a suspect in the Saturday morning shooting of a 24-year-old man.
The victim suffered critical injuries after being shot in the abdomen and arm, police said. He was taken to Pali Momi Medical Center.
The shooting occurred shortly after 2 a.m. near the ramp to the basement level parking lot of the Pearl City Business Plaza at 807 Kamehameha Highway, across from the Pearl City Zippy’s. The shooter and the victim apparently argued in the Princess Palace, a hostess bar that turns into a strip club late at night.
A bar employee said neither the shooter nor the victim appeared to be regulars.
The argument spilled into the parking lot and, as one of the men involved in the argument drove off, he fired five shots toward two men, both 24, from his dark-colored pickup truck with the design of a jester on the hood, police said.
The second man was not injured.
The shots may have come from a semi-automatic pistol, police said.
The suspect, described as 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 160 to 180 pounds, with a crew cut, fled west on Kamehameha Highway. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or dial *CRIME from a cellular phone.
