If you’ve never quite found the time or motivation to staff a red kettle for the Salvation Army, there’s now an online option for you.
The Online Red Kettle campaign allows folks to set up individual, team and company "kettles." You can recruit friends, families and co-workers to visit your online red kettle to make a donation, or join an existing group, such as those started by churches and other organizations. There’s no registration fee and all donations are tax-deductible.
If you prefer to do your bell ringing in person, call 988-2136 for kettle stands near you. Proceeds from online and in-person kettle collections help feed hungry families, provide gifts for needy children and assist the elderly.
The Salvation Army also has Angel Trees at major malls and Central Pacific Bank branches, where you can provide gifts for children and the elderly. And if you can’t afford to buy presents, donate your time by volunteering to help accept and sort Angel Tree gifts. Call 988-2136 for more information.
