SUP world tour finishes on Hawaii island
Maui’s Kai Lenny heads into the final stop of the Stand-Up World Paddle Tour having clinched his second world championship.
The weeklong event has its opening blessing Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Naniloa Volcanoes Resort. The holding period at Honoli’i Beach Park begins Sunday.
The final day’s schedule on Dec. 3 includes the “Race to Fitness” from Waiuli to Hilo starting at 9 a.m. The closing ceremony is at 6 p.m. at the Naniloa Volcanoes Resort.

Hawaii TV Bowling opens season
Winter season for Hawaii TV Bowling begins Sunday with open singles at the Schofield Bowling Center.
Check-in starts at 8 a.m., followed by practice. Competition starts at 9 a.m.
Events are open to all USBC members, with entry forms available on the website. The 13-week regular season runs through March 4.
The weekly HTB event airs at 7:30 a.m., Saturdays on KWHE, Ch. 11.

Senior softball title to Makua Ali’i
The Makua Ali’i softball team came out of the losers bracket, winning four games on the final day, to claim the 70-year-old division of the Winter World Softball Tournament earlier this month in Las Vegas.
The team, managed by Les Lunasco, now qualifies for the Tournament of Champions, Feb. 8-12, in Florida. Other members are Benji Kam, Mel Aoki, Elroy Stupplebeen, Frank Enanoria, Al Apo, Gerald Kaaa and Guy Ruiz. Also Dan Mahiko, Manny Ramos, Ron Matsuura, Manny Dominguez, Larry Doo, Paul Hughes, Roy Walker, Ken Tanibe and Louie and Ken Souza.

Hawaii team wins world paintball title
CENTERMASS 2, a paintball team from Oahu, took first place in Division 4 of the NPPL Super 7 World Series paintball championships held earlier this month in Las Vegas.
The Hawaii team defeated 27 others over the three-day competition in the five-man division. CENTERMASS 2, based out of Hawaii All-Star Paintball Games on Nimitz Highway, finished with 182 points, with Iron Legion second with 140.
