Waikiki Health Center acquires prenatal clinic

The Waikiki Health Center says it has acquired a clinic that provides prenatal and postpartum medical and social services to women who have or have had addiction issues.

Some women who have or have had problems with addiction may avoid prenatal care because they feel uncomfortable or afraid. But this places the health of the mothers and their babies at risk.

The health center said Wednesday PATH Clinic offers women a comfortable welcoming environment and supportive, nonjudgmental care. This increases the chance the patients will receive care regularly.

Waikiki Health Center provides medical and social services that are accessible and affordable for everyone, regardless of ability to pay. It offers services at its main clinic in Waikiki, satellite clinic in Haleiwa, and across Oahu through outreach programs.
