Kaimuki man allegedly set multiple fires on Tantalus
Police arrested a 46-year-old Kaimuki man Tuesday for allegedly setting fires on a property on Tantalus.
At 4 a.m. on May 20, police said the suspect set five fires at five locations near two homes. The fires caused a high risk of danger to two residents — a 56-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman — who were at home in bed at the time, police said. No injuries were reported.
Police arrested the man Tuesday on suspicion of first-degree arson. The investigation is ongoing.
