The junior quarterback rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns, including a 33-yard dash to the pylon with 42 seconds left to give the Bears a 28-24 upset win over then-No. 2 Farrington in the Division I quarterfinals of the First Hawaiian Bank/HHSAA State Football Championships.

» Mike Andrade, Konawaena: amassed 18 tackles, including 11 solo and six sacks, and also had a blocked field goal against Lahainaluna
» Sione Filikitonga, Lahainaluna: made two of the Lunas’ seven interceptions in a state Division II victory over Konawaena
» Lennox Jones, Kealakehe: seven catches for 150 yards against Leilehua
» John Kamoku, Kealakehe: the junior filled in at quarterback and had 152 passing yards and 141 rushing yards with three touchdowns against Leilehua.
» Tim Momiyama, Leilehua: made two key field goals and drilled every kickoff into the end zone for touchbacks while starting at center against Kealakehe
» Tyler Taumua, Farrington: rushed for 157 yards and four touchdowns on 27 carries against Baldwin
