Police motorcycle officer suffers minor injuries in crash
A Honolulu police motorcycle officer is in good condition after a crash with a pickup truck yesterday in Waianae.
The crash happened at 11:37 a.m. at Hakimo Road and Farrington Highway.
A pickup clipped the 38-year-old male solo bike officer who was turning at an intersection, according to initial reports.
The collision caused the officer to drive into a wall and hit his wrist, dispatch reports said.
The officer had a bloody nose and may have broken his wrist.
Paramedics took the officer to the Queen’s Medical Center in good condition, police said.

He was wearing a helmet and never lost consciousness.
The truck driver apparently was not hurt.
Police closed Hakimo Road between Farrington Highway and Akowai Road to investigate.
