Koko Marina shop to sell ‘Dog’ merchandise
Reality TV star Duane “Dog” Chapman will celebrate the grand opening of a new logo merchandise shop at Koko Marina Center with a public appearance and autograph session from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Da Kine Dog House will replace a similar retail store near Chapman’s Da Kine Bail Bonds business in downtown Honolulu. The store will sell a variety of official “Dog the Bounty Hunter” items, including clothing, books, DVDs, bags, keychains and more. The new location, near Zippy’s, was chosen due to its proximity to Chapman’s residence in Hawaii Kai, the availability of free parking and convenient access to public transportation for visitors, according to a news release.
Chapman and other family members from their hit A&E cable TV series, “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” will be on hand at the opening. Only items purchased from the store will be signed.
Regular hours for Da Kine Dog House are 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily. The phone number is 396-1120, or visit the website at www.thebountystore.com.
