A Kauai grand jury has indicted a 33-year-old Lawai man in connection with a two car-crash that killed one man and injured another last year.

Norman Bukoski Jr. was indicted for first and second-degree negligent homicide involving the death of Tomas Garcia Jr. and first-degree negligent injury involving Aaron Marvin. 

Police arrested Bukoski on Tuesday  after conducting an investigation on the crash that occurred on Kaumualii Highway near the entrance of Kahili Mountain Park on Jan. 19, 2010. 

The grand jury indicted Bukoski last week, alleging that he operated his vehicle in a negligent manner while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, causing the death of Garcia and injuries to Marvin.

Law enforcement released Bukoski after he posted $50,000 bail. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Nov. 15.
