UH professor wins librarian association award
A University of Hawaii professor has won an award for outstanding national contribution to school librarianship.
Violet Harada is this year’s recipient of the American Association of School Librarians distinguished service award.
She is a professor in the computer sciences, library and information science program.
She has served as an executive board member of the Hawaii Association of School Librarians since 1993.
Harada and other award recipients are to be honored at the association’s annual conference in New Orleans next month.
