Bracelet celebrates Title IX anniversary
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Title IX, a federal law authored by the late Hawaii Congresswoman Patsy Mink, Maui Divers Jewelry has partnered with the Women’s Sports Foundation to create a limited-edition commemorative sterling-silver cuff. The bracelet features the Roman numerals “IX” and sells for $115. Maui Divers Jewelry will donate $40 from each sale to the foundation in support of its grant and outreach programs promoting healthy lives for girls and women.
The Title IX legislation, enacted June 23, 1972, ensures equal access to men and women in federally funded educational programs and activities, including sports. The commemorative bracelet was featured at the Women’s Sports Foundation’s annual “Salute to Women in Sports Awards” gala in New York last week.
The bracelet is available at the Maui Divers Jewelry Design Center and at Maui Divers Jewelry at Ala Moana Center, or visit MauiDivers.com/wsf.
