Mechanical problems with so refuse trucks prevented the city from completing refuse and recyclables pickup last weekend, the city said today.

Residents in the area from Kahala to Hawaii Kai are asked to leave their gray refuse carts at curbside today for collection.

Residents whose blue carts (mixed recyclables) were not serviced last week in the Newtown, Aiea, Halawa, Iroquis Point and Ewa Beach areas are asked to bring their blue carts back on their properties and hold them till the next collection date in two weeks.
