Man shoots innocent bystander in Aiea Bowl parking lot

A man, who police say may have been an innocent bystander, is in a hospital in good condition after being shot while standing in the parking lot of Aiea Bowl early this morning.

Police are looking for a suspect and said they want to talk to a "person of interest."

At about 1:30 a.m., a man argued with others at the Aiea Heights bowling area and was asked to leave by security personnel. After leaving with his friends, the man was apparently still upset by the confrontation, went to his car and took out a gun and shot the victim who was standing by his car. Police said the suspect apparently doesn’t know the victim.

Police said they were waiting to interview the victim, who is under heavy sedation with a shoulder wound.
