Representatives from geothermal companies and Hawaiian Electric Co. will speak at a forum at Bellows Air Force Station Saturday to update the public on geothermal energy development in Hawaii.
The event, organized by state Sen. Pohai Ryan (D, Lanikai-Waimanalo), is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Hawaii National Guard Training Center Auditorium and Dining Center.
Presentations will be made by representatives from HECO, Puna Geothermal Venture, Innovations Development Group and Kuokoa. Also scheduled to speak is Sen. Mike Gabbard (D, Kalaeloa-Makakilo), Gabbard is chairman of the Senate Energy and Environment Committee.
