A 73-year-old Waipahu man died Tuesday of his injuries from a motorcycle accident on Aug. 17, police said.

The man was riding his motorcycle on Kaukonahua Road south of Wilikina Drive when he crashed.

The Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Matthew White. 

White was originally taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in serious condition, but his condition worsened and he died Tuesday  night from his injuries, police said.

No other vehicles were involved and speed, alcohol and drugs are not factors in the crash, police said.

White was wearing a helmet.

This is the 46th traffic fatality on Oahu this year, compared to 46 at the same time last year.
