Vegas freeway reopens after police chase, crash
LAS VEGAS >> A busy Las Vegas freeway has reopened after the investigation of a crash that police say ended a high-speed chase and shooting involving three armed convenience store robbery suspects on one of Las Vegas’ busiest freeways.
Las Vegas police Capt. Patrick Neville describes the overnight chase on northbound U.S. 95 approaching the congested Interstate 15 Spaghetti Bowl interchange as a "wild West-style shootout."
Police say no one was seriously hurt before a police car nudged the fleeing vehicle into a spin-out around 1 a.m. Wednesday and two men and a woman in the vehicle were arrested.
One of the suspects was taken to a hospital, but police say no one was seriously hurt.
Police say someone in the fleeing vehicle leaned out and fired shots at police during the chase.
