Breland Almadova homered and scored three times and Kolten Wong had three RBIs to lead Hawaii to a 9-8 victory over Valparaiso on Friday night at Les Murakami Stadium.

Lenny Linsky worked the final two innings, allowing a single with two outs in the ninth before picking up his eighth save.

The two teams combined for 10 errors, including a season-high six by the Rainbows (22-16), who can win the series against the Crusaders (16-22) with a victory on Saturday night.

Jarrett Arakawa (5-2) allowed seven hits and five runs in 5 2/3 innings to earn the win.
