‘Five-0’ cable rights sold for more than $2M an episode
Cable rebroadcast rights to the new CBS television series "Hawaii Five-0" have been sold to TNT for more than $2 million per episode, several broadcast industry publications reported.
Broadcasting and Cable magazine says bidding for the series started at $2 million and rebroadcast rights for the first season of "Hawaii Five-0" sold in the mid-$2 million range, similar to the price for CBS’ "NCIS: Los Angeles."
TNT will begin airing "Hawaii Five-0" in the summer of 2014.
"’Hawaii Five-0′ is a top-notch procedural drama that has already built a strong following," said Michael Wright, the executive vice president and head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies.

TNT also bought rights to "The Mentalist" for about $2.5 million per episode, Broadcasting and Cable reported.
The remake of the iconic 1968-1980 crime drama set in Hawaii is among the top-rated new televisions series. The premiere episode was watched by 14.2 million viewers and an episode in January drew 19.3 million viewers, TNT said in a news release.
