That’s a lot of nickels
Starting today, through the end of the year, McDonald’s Restaurants of Hawaii will donate 5 cents to Ronald McDonald House Charities for each Happy Meal or Mighty Kids Meals purchased. Since the first Ronald McDonald House opened in Manoa in 1987, the nonprofit has provided a home away from home for more than 22,000 seriously ill children and their families. A second house opened in 1997, also in Manoa.
