CrimeStoppers seeks information on shark tour boat fires

A blaze Thursday night on a North Shore Shark Adventures tour boat at Hale•iwa Harbor caused an estimated \$100

Anyone with information on any or all of the fires involving shark tour boats in Haleiwa in recent months is being asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300, or *CRIME on cellphone.

At 12:46 a.m. Jan. 7, the North Shore Shark Adventure Tours boat, “The Kailolo,” caught fire while docked at Haleiwa Boat Harbor. 

At 12:05 a.m. Jan. 24, the company’s “The Kolohe” was found burned at the same location.

At 11:37 p.m. March 24, the Hokuloa, a replacement boat for North Shore Shark Adventures Tours, was found burned while parked on its trailer at the harbor.

Police have ruled all three fires were purposely set.
