International evangelist Krish Dhanam will give the keynote address at the 32nd annual Hawaii Prayer Breakfast at 7 a.m. April 8 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom. The public is invited.

The purpose of the Hawaii Prayer Breakfast is to pray for government, military and religious leaders, regardless of political or religious preferences. It is modeled after the National Prayer Breakfast, which was initiated in 1953 by President Eisenhower, a news release said.

Hawaii Prayer Breakfast is organized by the nonprofit organization Governor’s/Mayors’ Prayer Breakfast Inc., whose members come from various denominations. First Hawaiian Bank, Pflueger Honda and Hawaii 5-0 Group are among the sponsors.

More than 1,500 people are expected to attend, organizers said.

Dhanam, of Vizag, India, moved to the United States in 1986 and makes Texas his home. He is the author of “The American Dream: From an Indian Heart” and is an inspirational life coach.

Immediately after the breakfast, a free Inspirational Forum will be held in the hotel’s Pacific Ballroom. Speakers are Barrett and Tara Awai, Na Hoku Hanohano Award winners; Kelly Majam, University of Hawaii softball player; Lillie Knauls, Dove Award Winner, Gospel Music Hall of Fame; Kaulana Park, former Department of Hawaiian Lands director; and Jimmy Yamada Jr., CEO of A-1 A-lectrician.
