Winds starting to return to normal
The National Weather Service has dropped a wind advisory and says the usual tradewind weather should be with us through the weekend.
Forecasters say winds will gradually decrease through the weekend from the gusty 20 to 30 mph east winds with gusts of up to 50 mph that had been with us through Thursday.
Winds should be about 15 to 25 mph today, decreasing to 15 to 20 mph by Sunday.
Forecasters say there’s an increased chance of showers Saturday and Sunday because of moisture and instability in the upper atmosphere.
A high surf advisory for east shores of all islands and a small craft advisory for coastal waters remains in effect through Saturday morning.
