Seasiders drop 2 in softball

Brigham Young-Hawaii lost both ends of yesterday’s Pacific West Conference softball doubleheader to Notre Dame de Namur 10-0 and 16-5 in San Mateo, Calif.

The Seasiders managed just two hits in the opener and then gave up 16 runs in the second inning, 14 of those unearned. The bright spot for BYUH was freshman Aroha Allen, who went 3-for-3, with two RBIs and two runs scored.

BYUH (5-23, 3-13) continues its road trip at Dominican tomorrow.

» Yesterday’s nonconference softball doubleheader between Hawaii-Hilo and host Cal State Stanislaus was rained out and likely won’t be rescheduled. The Vulcans are on the road through April 3, with four PacWest doubleheaders and the Tournament of Champions hosted by Stanislaus.
